Via Highway 2

The new Deerfoot Trail extension merges into Highway 2 south of the
city limits near the Okotoks turnoff.
Continue south on Highway 2 to Fort
Macleod through the towns of Nanton and Claresholm
Just west of Fort Macleod Highway 2
intersects with Highway 3 (The Crowsnest Trail) turn west (right) onto
Highway 3
Continue on Highway 3 straight
through to the Crowsnest Pass. You pass the towns of Brocket, Pincher
Creek, Cowley, and Lundbreck.

Via
Okotoks / Highway 22

The new Deerfoot Trail extension merges into Highway 2 south of the
city limits near the Okotoks turnoff.
Exit Highway 2 at the Okotoks
turnoff and head west (right)
Follow Highway 2A into Okotoks and
don't turn off in Okotoks, you will go through a number of sets of lights, over a
bridge, past a McDonalds, past the RCMP Station to the intersection of
Highway 7
Continue straight on Highway 783
(this is the landfill road)
At the end of Highway 783
T-intersection turn west (right) on to Highway 543 or Tongue
Creek Road
Highway 543 intersects with Highway
22, turn south (left) on to Highway 22
You arrive in Longview watch for the speed traps
Next point of reference is the Chain
Lakes / Nanton turnoff, keep going straight over the summit
You pass over the Oldman River and there is a rather large garage
like building on the right this is Maycroft, keep going straight
You will intersect with Highway 3 turn west (right)
You pass Highway 507 and
enter the Crowsnest Pass in the next few kilometres.

Via
Highway 22X / Highway 22
time from south city limits ~2 hrs
Head south on Deerfoot Trail to Marquis of
Lorne Trail
Turn right (west) on to Marquis of Lorne which turns into Spruce Meadows Trail
and then Highway 22X
Continue past Macleod Trail (Highway 2) to the intersection of
Highway 22X and Highway 22. Keep you eye open for this intersection as it may not be obvious.
If the Highway 22X signs turn into Highway 22 North/West signs or if you
go over a bridge you've gone to far west.
Turn left (south) on Highway 22
heading to Millarville, Turner Valley and Black Diamond
Watch in Black Diamond you don't get
confused at the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 22 continue
south on 22
Next town is Longview (from 5 K
north of Longview this route is identical to the other Highway 22
option)
